Media savvy?

Well, I think I just posted something on my new Instagram page to let people know there are some places on my summer workshops. I have to admit to being a Luddite who doesn’t speak techno (but I’m learning….slowly…with a little help from my friends). How on earth do makers get time to produce things AND promote them on media?

Adding pictures of my students’ work to this site, I inadvertently deleted the whole page! (not sure how). Thanks Helen for helping restore that.

I have more to add later, if your work isn’t there.

It’s contagious!

Hello Jenni,

I just wanted to thank you for introducing me to the wonderful craft of rag rugging!

I watched you demonstrate at Bristol Wool Fair and was inspired! I bought a tool and your excellent book ‘More Rag Rugs’ and away I went.

First I tried a roundel cushion using cotton fabrics. With more confidence I decided to make a traditional wool rug as a Christmas present for friends who have a canal boat.

My next project was fairly ambitious, a blue-tit in mixed fabrics. I was pleased with the result and it was a gift well received by a true bird lover!

Thanks again for de-mystifying the craft and encouraging me to have a go!

Best wishes for the year ahead,

Mo Brown

Lovely work Mo. You have achieved plenty of definition on the blue tit rug…not easy with that technique. Hope to see you again and keep on progging!

technology? schmechnolgy! (I hope that’s not rude…)

I have spent all morning trying to find out how to synchronise my email account on the computer with the one on my new iPad. AAAAArrrrggghhh!

Seems I need to change email address, or host, or website, or planet.

I can understand why the Luddites attacked the mechanical looms with spanners, actually.

No solution to my problem found yet.

It’s so much more fun working with colours and fabrics.
